We started Lanier Lures with a simple idea: build handmade, custom-painted lures that actually catch fish. What we didn't fully anticipate was just how far those lures would travel — or how many different bodies of water they'd end up on.
Built in Georgia. Proven everywhere. Here's where Lanier Lures have gone.
The Map So Far
Since we launched, Lanier Lures have shipped to anglers in 35 states across the country — and all the way to Australia. Every one of those orders represents an angler who decided to fish different, and we couldn't be more grateful for every single one.
The Deep South
Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma — home waters. This is where Lanier Lures were born, and it's where our roots run deepest. Southern bass anglers know their fish, know their lakes, and know the difference between a lure that's built right and one that isn't. From the red clay reservoirs of Georgia to the world-famous bass fisheries of Florida to the bayous of Louisiana to the mountain streams of West Virginia, our lures are out there doing work.
The Midwest
Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota, South Dakota — some of the best bass fishing in the country. Midwestern lakes and rivers are diverse — clear reservoirs, stained river systems, pressured suburban ponds, Great Lakes tributaries, and the wide-open prairie lakes of the Dakotas and Kansas — and our lures have been put to work across all of it. Missouri leads the way as our top state by orders, which tells us the fish up there are just as susceptible to a hand-painted bream pattern as the ones back home in Georgia.
The Northeast
Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts — this one surprised us in the best possible way. Northeastern bass fishing is serious business. The fish are pressured, the water is often clear, and anglers up there have high standards for what they throw. The fact that Lanier Lures are earning their place in tackle boxes from Rhode Island to New Jersey is proof that a well-built, hand-painted lure works anywhere bass live. (You might remember Dave from Rhode Island — he's caught over 100 fish on a single Lanier Lure. That's the Northeast for you.)
The West and Southwest
Washington, California, Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico — we're out West. Bass fishing on the West Coast and in the Southwest is a different world — different forage, different water clarity, desert reservoirs, mountain lakes — but the same principle applies: a realistic, hand-painted lure that fish haven't seen before gets bit. Arizona and New Mexico bass have never seen a hand-painted Georgia bream pattern. That's exactly why it works.
Big Sky Country
Montana — we're in Montana. Big sky, cold clear water, and fish that have seen very little pressure compared to the rest of the country. A hand-painted Lanier Lure in those pristine waters is something special — and we can't wait to hear what comes out of Big Sky Country on one of our baits.
Australia
This one still blows us away. A fellow angler found us on social media and reached out from Australia — and now two Lanier Lures are fishing waters on the other side of the planet. Australia has incredible bass fishing, and we can't wait to hear what those lures pull out of Australian waters. If you're reading this from Down Under — send us your catches. We want to see everything.
Every Location is a Different Fishery
One of the things we're most proud of is that Lanier Lures aren't a one-lake, one-region bait. The same Stalker Series – Ghost Bluegill that's catching bass on a Georgia reservoir is catching fish in Missouri and Rhode Island. The same Reaper Series crankbait that deflects off Georgia rocks is deflecting off Midwestern timber and Arizona canyon walls. The same Trophy Series trout pattern that fooled a big Florida bass is heading to Australian waters where fish have never seen anything like it.
That's what happens when you build a lure around realism and quality instead of price point. It works everywhere.
Where We're Going Next
Thirty-five states and one country down. The world is a big place with a lot of fish in it — and a lot of them have never seen a Lanier Lure. We're working on that.
If you're fishing waters we haven't reached yet, we want to hear from you. Tag us in your catches on social media — every photo from a new lake, a new state, or a new country is another pin on our map and another proof point that hand-painted, custom-crafted lures catch fish everywhere.
Thank You
None of this happens without the anglers who took a chance on a small, woman and veteran owned business out of Georgia. Every order, every catch photo, every tag and share — it all matters. You're the reason Lanier Lures are showing up in tackle boxes from California to Montana to Australia, and we don't take that for granted.
If you haven't joined the map yet, there's no better time. Shop the full Lanier Lures collection and find out what anglers across 35 states — and now around the world — already know: fish different, catch more.
